Awards

Vernard has been recognized for his many accomplishments. In 2010, he was the recipient of Public Allies 1st Annual “Rise Award” for a Young Leader. He has been featured numerous times in the New Pittsburgh Courier’s Business Section and in 2011, was awarded and recognized as a “Fab 40 under 40”. In 2013, Vernard was awarded the “Lifestyle Award” from the National Association of Black MBA’s –Pittsburgh Chapter for his work in the community. An advocate of volunteering, Vernard has contributed business and social media articles to Pull Magazine and the Soul Pitt Quarterly Magazine. In 2014, he received the Roadrunner Award from Vision Towards Peace Counseling Services, LLC as a part of their 1st Annual Passion Hits the Road Awards. Vernard was a 2016 recipient of #BMe, which included a $10,000 grant to help progress the work he does in the community. He is a board member advisor for Building Bridges for Businesses and is also the President of the Homewood Business Association.
