Mr. Alexander is passionate about helping people realize the dream of Entreprenuership. “I created the Minority Networking Exchange in 2006 to provide opportunities for networking, education and collaboration,” Alexander says. “The Minority Networking Exchange hosts a variety of business and social networking events.” Some of the most impactful events hosted by MNEX include The Annual Cherrie Dawkins Business Grant, where $500 is awarded yearly to small business owners and “Connectically Speaking”, a highly successful Spoken Word event. From Elevator Pitch Competitions, Cash Mobs, Business Owner Meet and Greet Events, Speed Networking, workshops for youth and adult Entrepreneurs and a Business Bootcamp, Vernard has a wide range of skills that he offers to support and build business owners.
The events hosted by the Minority Networking Exchange have garnered revenue increases for businesses, provided extensive networks for business owners and the greater Pittsburgh community. In addition, the Minority Networking Exchange has played a key role in creating flourishing collaborations. Vernard has a team of highly skilled consultants which includes lawyers, accountants, event planners, personal assistants, human resource experts and more.
Vernard provides Business Coaching to assist people in the process of starting, expanding and/or growing a business. In addition, he has expanded his brand to help businesses, non-profits and politicians expand their reach by using the power of social media. With over 12,000 social media contacts, Vernard created and managed the social media content for State Representative Edward Gainey.
Vernard obtained a Bachelors Degree in Secondary/Social Studies Education and a Master’s Degree in Curriculum & Instruction (Adult Education) from Point Park University.
